BALTIMOORE Frontman Leaves His BALLS Behind
December 3, 2008Vocalist Björn Lodin (SIX FEET UNDER, BALTIMOORE) has announced his departure from BALLS, the Swedish project he formed with Micke "Nord" Andersson (guitar; NORD, ROXETTE, JAMIE WALTERS, SKIFS),Janne Stark (guitar; OVERDRIVE, LOCOMOTIVE BREATH),Björn Lundqvist (bass; SKYRIDE) and Robban Bäck (drums; ECLIPSE, BILLION DOLLAR BABIES, BLACK LADIES). According to Lodin, "Since not everyone involved wants to turn BALLS into a live act, or at least make the effort to meet up and rehearse to see how it'd turn out... I'm leaving the band."
BALLS will release its debut album, "Chameleon", in North American on December 9 via Nightmare Records.
Check out audio samples on the group's MySpace page.
Formed in 2007, the group's moniker is, as you may have noticed, actually the initials of the members' last names.
BALLS describes the music as "ballsy, groovy, classic hard rock with a twist."
